Jim Birrell Sports Dinner 2012

Every year, we hold a charity sports dinner in memory of my dad. He really enjoyed going to a 'Sportsmans' and when he passed away, his two friends approached me and mum and asked if we would like to hold one in his memory. We thought it might be a one off. On Saturday night, we held the 7th annual Jim Birrell Memorial Sports Dinner. The dinner has raised money for a range of national and local causes. This year we raised money for the Arran Brown Rainbow Foundation - set up in memory of my friend's little boy who died following a battle with a rare kidney disease. And also to help fund a course of therapy for an inspirational little girl who had a quarter of her brain removed in order to stop potentially life threatening epileptic seizures.
