Wednesday 4 April 2012: AprilChallenge - Someone who makes you happy...

...and mad, in equal measures?! Someone who will only tolerate the camera when they're shouting at their best mate Jack, down the xBox mike?!

Matthew really makes me laugh. He's developed a very sharp sense of humour as he's got older, which makes him great company. It's not so great when that same personality trait is pointed out at parents' evenings. There's a time and a place, as his father and I keep on (and on) saying :(

Yes, we have our moments, now that the teenage hormones are flying around. Homework, getting out of bed before 10am, and overdosing on flippin' Lynx spray (cough, cough, splutter) are all regular flashpoints. But on the whole, life is getting easier. Much as I loved having tiny little kids, it was bloody hard work. Matt actually made his own breakfast AND a cup of tea for me today...progress.

My blue eyed boy does have his 'blonde' moments though. I mentioned something about him shaving when he's older, when he grows whiskers - as in stubble. He looked at me, horrified. He thought I meant cat-type whiskers. Good grief.
