Wednesday 4 April 2012: Daffodil Battalions
I walk past this hotel most days when walking the dog, and recently have tried to capture the serried ranks of daffodils arranged to draw your eye to the hotel building. Somehow it never worked, but today the sky was dramatically dark and the white building and yellow daffodils seemed intensified. Also, I liked the way the sky was cloudy but there were still long shadows from the sun shining from a blue patch of sky elsewhere.
It was a close call between this and two others:
