Wednesday 4 April 2012: For Gram..
Grandma had her shoulder replaced on Monday. I sent her flowers yesterday and talked to her briefly on the phone today. She's sounding a little out of it, but I imagine it's the drugs they give you when they take out a chunk of your body. She had her hip replaced about 3 years ago, but the recovery on this one looks like it will be longer. And once she's healed from this, we'll probably get started on the other shoulder- she's been bone-on-bone for a while. I wish I could visit her, but I'll just have to send her my thoughts instead!
