Cool days

Remember those 1970's Monsoon skirts with little mirrors sewn into them?

In the 1970s, Monsoon produced wonderful coloutful clothes made in Indian villages using hand-loomed cotton, local crafts and vegetable dyes. We'd never seen the like before, especially in the West Riding of Yorkshire. They were must-haves for anyone remotely cool - as long as they had the money. Monsoon was not cheap. I coveted them for ages. Finally bought one in a sale just off Guildford High Street.

It was about three sizes too small for me when I came across it in a case full of 70's clothes, I made into cushions.

Thanks to FriedaQuilter for inspiration for this blip, a detail of one of the cushions.
