Thursday 5 April 2012: More Cheery Blossom
Last night was one of discomfort and heat. Apparently I turned into a little furnace and was close to glowing. It was all a bit of an Alptraum* really.
Woke up this morning (da na da da da) and it felt like I was made out of china. It was heavy and I swear I heard creaking when I moved. And the day passed in a blur of sleeping, reading and drinking water.
We went out shopping late this afternoon (Germany shuts until Tuesday for Easter**) and had a bit of a walk. A bit too much of a walk for me. I was so tired at the end of it, I had to have another nap. It was then that I discovered there isn't a word that matches exaactly to "grumpy" in German.
So there we are then, I'm off to bed again. There will be a song tomorrow, I promise.
*Alptraum is not a dream of mountains but a nightmare.
**OK it's open for a couple of hours on Saturday morning but I'm probably going to miss that.
