Contrast

What a contrast between Tuesday and today, on Tuesday we were being blown off Low Fell, snowed on and freezing. Today it has been beautiful again, a bit chilly on the tops but very pleasant, hardly any wind and the views have been superb.
We parked at Felldyke near Lamplugh and walked up past Cogra Moss where there were quite a few fishermen. At the head of the lake we climbed steeply over High Pen and onto Gavel Fell before retracing our steps to Blake Fell and down to Burnbank fell. From there we backtracked a short distance to drop down into the forest, crossed the dam at Cogra Moss and back to the car.
Another three Wainwrights for us all today, Blake fell was my 200th.
The blip shows part of the cleared forest taken as we climbed steeply towards High Pen.
