Thursday 5 April 2012: Purple tentacles

I've got three jobs off my desk today and I'm just finalising a fourth. I've agreed to start a new job tomorrow, so my planned lie-in (with the luxury of no earplugs as Ant will still be away) has gone out of the window. Stupid, stupid, stupid woman. What was I thinking saying yes? Grrrr.

Although some flowers in the bouquet are still looking good, the bouquet as a whole is starting to look a teensy bit sorry for itself, but I've managed to get another blip out of it. I liked the general look and feel of a few of the photos I took, but the perfectionist in me wasn't entirely happy with the options available. I took a second set of photos but they were no better. I have therefore settled for this one, which is, I think, of a purple delphinium. I like everything about it except the focus on the 'tentacles', which I really wanted to be sharper and with better contrast against the background. Even this tweaked version isn't what I wanted. So today I'm picky and stupid ;)
