Thursday 5 April 2012: Pattern stripes

Went to the Seattle Aquarium tonight to hear "Sound Conversations" -a talk on Sea Otters and their health. - I didn't realize that the only international meeting about these animals occurs here. Sea Otters have been translocated to many habitats on this West coast from northern California to the Aleutian Islands. For some odd reason they didn't "take" in Oregon (yet) and altho they are thriving in many areas, the population is not growing at the rate it should, for reasons being explored. The Aquarium's own new 11 week old sea otter is growing great, is almost the size of a 6 mo old. Time for another visit.

For the record....we are now a lot smarter about toilets. :-) To install one of the new straight side styles we would have to move pipes in our wall and that's not going to happen, but we've got a very good compromise (it is a Toto) ordered --for monday or tuesday! Sigh. I think I'll have the painting done by then...

Oh yes, the photo.: A Lion fish.
