Friday 6 April 2012: Ground Ivy

Bank Holiday today so not at work! Woke up a whole hour later than normal...

After breakfast we went into town to look for trousers and shoes for the better half. As we were in town I also went along to Clarks to buy a two pair of shoes for work. They are not as well made as they use to be or as cheap but they are better than most other shoes you can buy.

My better half failed to find anything she liked so we came back home just after midday. On the walk back from the station going through the village we popped into "Little Meadow" to see how the hedge that we laid earlier this year was getting on. A few of the shrubs don't look well, but most of them seem to be sprouting leaves, which is good.

In a spot of the meadow there was a large patch of ground ivy (Glechoma hederacea). I put the camera on the macro setting and sat it down amongst the grass and took a couple of shots, hoping for a nice effect against the blue sky. I've got a few shots but this is probably the best.
