Friday 6 April 2012: Challenge Fail
Bad blip Friday strikes again!!! Today's challenge was 'Lunch', which SHOULD have been easy. My parents, sister, brother-in-law and nephew were here. The table was laden with various salads, chicken, wraps, cous cous, different types of olives, fruit, hummus, bread, chocolate cake, lemon pudding and double cream.
But me being responsible for feeding a crowd meant that the camera didn't come out until late afternoon. My nearly two year old nephew Noah is very interested in it, and rather than have him grab it, I showed him how to take a picture...
This is his beloved 'Mummy work nee-naw', as he calls it - my sister Louise is a midwife, and he sees ambulances when she takes him in to see her colleagues at Kettering General.
There's another connection. Last Good Friday, I ended up in one of these bloody things. Stretcher, oxygen mask, the lot. That was the day I collapsed in Sainsburys, leading to the swift removal of my driving license. Which means it's VERY NEARLY a year since. I have a photosensitive/sleep deprivation epilepsy diagnosis, and lifelong medication to guarantee it won't happen again. I'm on course for the DVLA medics handing that oh-so-important document back to me on April 22nd, and although I am nervous about driving again, I cannot wait. Just don't expect to see me at a strobe lit gig or nightclub anytime soon ;)
So. Last 'Good' Friday was a very, very bad one. This one has been far better. Good memories to erase the bad...
Tomorrow - Shadow.
