Friday 6 April 2012: Damson Blossom and Duck Eggs
Good Friday and manic start to a heaving Bank Holiday weekend in the guest house. Running around like fruit loops to get everything ready and create an atmosphere of calmness for the guests to enjoy. Fire lit, damson gin out, posies of flowers hither and thither, tiffin, cookies, grasmere gingerbread, 3 packed lunches, a list of dietary requirements....and a pack of cold beer in the fridge to keep things running smoothly.
The kids have been total stars this week, entertaining themselves amazingly well while we both rush around in the morning, and then enjoying adventures out in the afternoon. Tonight we had a film night with popcorn and lots of cuddles.
