Saturday 7 April 2012: AprilChallenge - Shadow
I found this really, really hard. It's been overcast here ALL DAY, so outdoor shots wouldn't have worked. I took some photographs of some daffodils (or daffledils, as Anna calls them) and their shadows, but they looked spooky, and I do admit to being daffledilled out, blip-wise (am I creating my own strange language here?! I'll shut up.)
So, I'm settling on this. A huge 'Buttered Vanilla' candle I bought earlier (our house is now cake-scented) put in a dark corner of my living room, with a bit of light and shadow going on. It'll do.
We went to Market Harborough today, a lovely town between here and my sister's, for lunch and a wander around the shops. It was ok, but I do wish this rain would stop. I need to get out properly, see some sunny countryside, photograph some landscapes, get my feet sandy on a beach. But I want to do it without wet, moaning kids, a sopping dog and a rucksack full of waterproofs in tow.
Moving away from the damp, land-locked Midlands would be a start...
