Cast Iron Gardening #5 : Hibachi

This Hibachi has lived with us for at least 20, probably 25 years. It is of chinese origin and dates back from the time that chinese industry issued crude, badly-made, 19-th century-type products that came to us in crude carton packaging. How the times have changed in 20 years! Today, from this country from which hundreds of thousands of engineers graduate each year we get just about everything that needs manufacturing...

Ah well. This Hibachi, with its aluminium boilerplate, from a factory that casted cannon or steam engines or whatever before, has sit between the boxwood hedges for a few years now. While still serviceable, it has now retired. I threw it in the wastebin a few times, but Mrs Dutchoak recovered it every time...

Young Mr. Dutchoak suggested my blipping would be more true if I photographed these objects in situ. Your opinion plese!

Previously in this miniseries: Objects Made Of Cast Iron That Have Found A Place To Live In Dutchoaks Garden:

stepping tile (update: the other 2 have been recovered)
