Saturday 7 April 2012: The Age of the Train
Not-quite-two is an ideal age to travel by train, so it would seem.
You can see sheep, cows, trees, flowers, the sea, boats (but not fish), birds, cars and other trains. You can talk to the other passengers, climb under the seats, on the seats, between the seats, press the buttons to open the doors, headbutt the doors. Not open the toilet door while mummy is in there.
You can get a free drink and lots of biscuits in First Class, do colouring, in fact the list is endless...
No wonder a sleep in the car was necessary upon arrival. Mummy is having an early night too.
