Wednesday 4 April 2012: St Andrews

Today we had more real April weather - sun hail and snow before I'd left the house, then glorious sunshine as I approached St Andrews.

Had a meeting at the Byre Theatre this morning to discuss getting the stories out about Crail Food Festival.

Then back to Crail to await mattress deliveries - for mattresses which were supposed to arrive by "next day delivery", which should really have been yesterday.

While waiting I filled in a form to submit a story to the BBC Scotland producers of Kitchen Cafe, and great excitement ensued when we got a call back from the presenter to ask for more information. It would be a big deal if this were to come off.

The photo is of St Andrews from the main road near Kinkell Braes, and you can see the hills over in Angus behind, still with signs of yesterday's snow.
