Saturday 7 April 2012: easter
Day 6
Spent the day at my brothers for a roast lunch over Easter.
Trivial pursuit, beer and good company.
What a wonderful day.
Today I'm grateful for:
- Technology keeping us in touch with home. Our parents called this morning for the first time in a while, it was a great reminder of how far technology has come and how much it closes the distance in ways we never thought possible.
- For having family in the UK. I have 2 brothers, both living in this part of the world. We aren't exactly the closest family, no massive regular whanau gatherings like some, but when we are together we all just slot together like good friends.
- Living far enough out of London to justify having a car. The freedom it brings is amazing and I know we wouldn't still be here if we were confined to trains and tubes - roads through the countryside are wonderful and refreshing.
