Sunday 8 April 2012: What You Looking AT ?

Mantis with attitude ... the garden can be relaxing and if you are photographing insects it can be Tense ...

Set myself up with tripod and coffee at 4pm hoping to see this Mantis (which I have been trying for a couple of day's to get it Praying )
They are quite gentle on their killing method and I had watched as this Mantis had missed a few, I also had my eye on a Robberfly who was minding its own business taking little aphids off the roses ( I was happy with this ) Then a huge Wasp pounced on it, no mercy .. kiss my foot ...how are you to day ... straight for the jugular with a few screams (thats what I heard) from the Robberfly and off went the Wasp with the Robberfly firmly in its clutches. Fewwwww

I did manage to capture the event but too gruesome for Blipfoto.
