Sunday 8 April 2012: Crummock Water
Happy Easter to all fellow blippers.
Today started mildly moist (that's an understatement)! but after a leisurely walk through Lanthwaite woods up to the edge of Crummock Water, the rain had stopped, and I even managed to get some reflections of Rannerdale Knots in the surface of the lake. To further smooth the reflections, I used a 10-shot multiple exposure to effectively extend the shutter speed, but still preserve some pattern of ripples (something that doesn't work quite as well with a single long exposure). In composing, I was careful to make the reflection fall into clear space between the grasses.
Can't believe it's my 100th blip tomorrow - no idea what to do yet, must have a think. The time's gone so quickly.
I gave up beer for lent, so tonight, I'm having a beer - cheers!
