Voodoo

On a dull , wet and so far, blipless day, I thought I'd photograph the cover of this EP from 1972 and do a bit of photoshoppery on it to try and capture the psychedelic vibe man.

This EP came out after Hendrix died. Side A was Voodoo Chile, side B had All Along the Watchtower and Hey Joe. The price on the sleeve was 6/- (that's 6 shillings, the equivalent of 30 of your new pence), and I have written "Jan's Record" on the label.

In those days you used to go to a party with a stack of records in case the host didn't have the right sounds. Usually Led Zep, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath etc, then you'd end up feeling sick from headbanging after too much cheap cider .... happy days!

Here's the man himself
