Monday 9 April 2012: Wanted!
Crew for Good Ship Ouzel.
Shortly to Depart from Granton. A well founded and trim vessel, the Captain and Owner is desirous of taking on crew for a Sea Voyage to the coast of Fife at soonest -
Mariner (ancient). Handy with Bowline, Buntline Hitch and Splicing. Duties include mending sails, weighing anchor and sharing watch duties.
Cook. Handy in a tight space. Capable of making Chilli con Carne* with minimal utensils.
Apply at the Middle Pier, Granton Harbour.
* with mackerel.
So, the engine kicked into life and all's well for next Saturday. Just need to look out the bell bottoms. Right! The long weekend is almost over. Sob. Maybe a small glass of wine would slow the clock. It's worth trying, surely.
