Monday 9 April 2012: Crooked Grind...

So it was dry at the house, raining on the bridge, but perfectly dry at the skatepark in Edinburgh. Ah well, suited me down to the ground with my perfect skating weather.

The crooked grind can actually known as a K grind, a crook or a pointer grind. It involves going into a nose grind (grinding on the front truck) but instead of doing it straight with the obstacle, the nose of the board is angled and pressed into the the obstacle upon which it is performed. It is one of my favourite grinds, possibly second only to the 5-0 grind. I used to love doing them on a single rail at Stirling skatepark but the margin for error makes me a lot more cautious about them nowadays.

Graham here kindly did me a text book crook grind.
