Tuesday 10 April 2012: Victory
Our middle school is lucky enough to have an absolutely amazing art teacher who creates fabulous programs for her students. This is the third year for Project Runway, an altered fashion show. One hundred and twelve students each selected a free garment from the local Goodwill store, and their assignment was to transform the piece into wearable fashion. They had two weeks to cut, rip, sew, staple, glue, tape and paint. I wish I could show you a video of the whole show--a jaw-dropping array of costumes and accessories that brought cheers from all of us crowded into the gym.
