A strange day. Tried to work this morning but my head is like mush and not a lot was happening that was useful. I spent too long going through the 1901 Irish census - fascinating stuff.
In the afternoon we went to a funeral - the mother of a friend. Doris was 92 and for the last couple of years had suffered from dementia. My friend had looked after her at home and it has worn her down. The service was warm and kind and we were an interesting gathering of protestants, catholics and atheists.
We've just been down to the sea - bright and calm and the sea pink is coming out.
Today's blip is a reflection in the big pond - everything is spurting forth. I loved that blue and green.
