Scooter Rage

Scooting was allowed on Daddy Day today. Girl is getting so good on it now that she wants to be on it all the time. This is great as no longer do we start out on it only for me to then have to carry it for the rest of the day.

However we have a new problem now and that is that Boy wants to have a go. It probably did not help that I took them to the skatepark to watch this afternoon. While we were there Boy got some compliments on his board by some of the bigger boys, which was exciting. As soon as we left though Boy got on Girls scooter and insisted on scooting. I said he could on the common but no further as he did not have a helmet. He seemed to go for this until we got to the end of teh common and then he resisted the hand over to his sister.

In the end I had to carry him to the front whilst he threw a wobbler and Girl scooted. Girl then agreed to lend him her helmet so he could have a proper scoot. He managed to scoot and walk holding the scooter from the Pyramids to South Parade Pier, half a mile or so, no mean feet for an under two. This walk would usually take about 8 to 10 minutes but with the speed of the scoot it took us an easy 40 minutes.

He would have goon further had I not insisted he swap with Girl again as we needed to meet some friends before darkness and old age set in. Obviously this didn't go down well with Boy but luckily through the screams we caught sight of his favorite girl which mildly distracted him from his misery.

With his favorite girl was her brother, friend of Girl, along with their Mummy, Granny and Auntie who is carrying twins. Girls friend introduced Girl to his Auntie with the following. "This is my Auntie. she has two babies in her tummy. One is called Bish and one is called Bosh". With that he scooted off and Girl followed.

We then met some more friends at the park where the water jets have started up again. Summer is on its way!
