Heading for Mt Cook

The weather played the game today.

Set off with bikes loaded and drove an hour up the eastern side of Lake Pukaki . Mt Cook cleared as we drove through Tasman Downs Station, Braemare Station then into Mt Cook Station....the end of the road.

The biking track in pretty good nick but at the first river crossing the rest of the group piked !!! We, as in four intrepid travellers, continued on and managed the remaining river crossings easily, what an awesome bike ride it was....only 30 km and finished offwith a picnic lunch at 3pm!

Now freshly showered and feeling great.

Fresh Salmon grown/farmed locally for dinner tonight. We do look after ourselves.

I fully intended blipping Mt Cook but by the time we had biked up the Tasman Valley some cloud had come over....Mt Sefton is behind us, Mt Cook is unseen on the right if the picture.
