Kinda Horrigans

Thursday 12 April 2012: Into the deep dark woods...

776/365: ... or perhaps it should be 'out of the deep dark wood' because the light was doing those amazing shafts of sunlight through the trees which was gorgeous. Sadly, I lack the ability to take the sort of photograph a proper landscape photographer would take, but at least I mentally took a picture of it as well, so can think about that if I want a good version of it!

It was a surprising treat of a delicious morning this morning. Nothing at all spectacular on leaving Nottingham, but just before Chesterfield with the sun coming up and the mist rising from the fields, it turned into a whole feast of wonderful. If I'd been a naughty kid, I'd have played truant to be out there enjoying it. Instead, I snuck a few shots, and drove to work, hoping I wouldn't be late.

I don't know why I worry about being late - I never am, especially given the fact that I rarely finish on time, work through lunch and am normally a hefty chunk early. Daft, isn't it?

Anyway, just been distracted by Felix who's complaining that Maddy won't let him in their bedroom. 'She's gone across the law!!!', he's shouting. 'Across the law!!!!' Like the law is a line drawn in the sand over which you mustn't step.

That distraction means that anything I might have said. Any witty remarks. Insightful droplets. Nuggets of pure joy. I've forgotten.

Ta da!

PS Working from home tomorrow
PPS And not back into the office until next Thursday
PPPS I may be tired, but I can still find time for a smile or two at the thought of no commuting!!
