Friday 13 April 2012: Lijiang Hotel
This is our hotel in the tourist town of Lijiang. This evening we have been wandering in the cobbled streets of the old part of the town, where the hotel is situated, along with thousands of Chinese tourists.
The town is at 2,400 metres (8,000ft) in an upland valley in Western Yunnan. The dominant ethnic group is Naxi, one of 56 minorities in China.
