Friday 13 April 2012: Duck a L'Orange

No gulls this morning. I could hear them from across the lake creating a racket so my thought was at the time that there must be some very good fishing going on over there. After watching them yesterday make such a fuss over the one gull with a catfish I could imagine them doing just that across the bay.

Instead I watched two naughty crows steal all the food I brought for Shine and company (the gull crew) and two flirty ducks swimming close to the shore. One kept poking the other in between diving underwater for breakfast. As I approached the shore they swam out into the golden sunlight on the waters.

Something awful happened last night. I was possessed by the demon known as Evil Spring Cleaner. At 9 PM I was on the kitchen floor with a bucket of soapy water cleaning my lower cabinet doors. How do they get so bloody filthy? It looked like someone came in and just splashed them with all sorts of gross and disgusting things. I will have to rid myself of this demon. Spring cleaning is evil.
