Friday 13 April 2012: AprilChallenge - Something You Found
This badge is from lunch at TGI's on Matthew's 1st birthday. Skip forward a few years, and we went to London's Natural History Museum for Anna's 7th birthday, followed by a very similar lunch at TGI's in Piccadilly Circus...
Anna had heard that if you told them it was your birthday, you got a free special birthday pudding. So she did. What she hadn't counted on was the waitress making her stand on a chair, holding a balloon, while a team of waiters sang to her, as pudding with sparklers in was brought over.
She HATES being the centre of attention. She panicked, jumped down, and buried her face in Paul's hoodie, crying "Daddy, make them stop!" It's one of those things that's funny to look back on, but mortifying at the time :-/
Anyway. In the background - my Aunt Sadie's bracelet. Broken by me. A ring that was Nan's, that I don't like, but won't throw away. Matthew's lifesaving badges. My wedding/engagement rings. A blue topaz and diamond ring from my parents' for my 18th. Wedding day pearl earrings. That's it. Burglars would be disappointed by this stash! I wear some silver jewellery, but never this lot...
