Friday 13 April 2012: Nutters

After 12 days of pretty poor weather my family finally lost the plot today when the sun came out!
Before you could say inflatable friday fun!! My missus and my youngest offspring were in the boats and flying down the river.
(Btw as i write this the caravan is being pelted with hailstones!!!)
I was intending to have a shot once i had shot off a few pics, but as it happens i spent all my time running down the river trying to catch these two who had been carried off by the current. (I think the river was a bit quick for them today!)
Anyhoos I catches up with them a mile down river with carol standing in the river dragging the inflatable up a steep banking an Abbie further down hanging n t a tree branch for dear life!!
Whats a man to do...who to rescue first? my wife or my daughter?
Im ashamed to say i made my decision on who to rescue first by deciding who i trusted to not drop my camera in the river while i rescued them.....
So carol it was then abbie!
A decision purely based on the fact that carols neck is further away from the water than abbies so my camera would be higher up and henceforth safer and drier!
I do realise that i will never go to heaven now.
But on the plus side the alternative will make a HELL of a blip!
