Saturday 20 September 2008: Victoria Bay
Eight minutes drive from home and I can dip my toes in these waters ....
Victoria Bay is a small bay with few holiday homes - about thirteen - and what makes is attractive it that there is no immediate space for any more!
It is frequented by surfers all year round even although the water temperatures can get very low.
It has a lovely tearoom/restaurant, a caravan park and also a place for tents.
The blip shows the pier and the tidal pool.
The clouds still bear evidence of yesterday's inclement weather, but otherwise it is a lovely, sunny day.
