Particles & Waves

Early morning guest

I went out in the yard to put out some birdseed and peanuts when I noticed this little (well, not so little) critter in the tree next door. I figure he's a young male from last year's stock who had a siesta in the tree and overslept. Not unusual but not something we see every day or all that often. I did blip another raccoon in the same tree back in August 2010.

It's napping now and will likely remain there until nightfall when it is safer to move along. The squirrels were a bit taken aback by the visitor to their tree but they worked around it without much bother.

Linda got a good blip of it a few hours later and a little higher up the tree.
