Sunday 8 April 2012: The Old and the New

Out on the bike again this morning this is one of my usual stopping places where I can get my breath back and grab a quick drink.
Mother Nature always amazes me, here we have the new buds growing while a couple of last year's leaves refuse to give up and drop off.

I wonder if they will get forced off as the buds around them expand further?
