Saturday 7 April 2012: Where owls dare
After an early start and a good journey, we arrive at our turf-roofed accommodation near Finstown.
A pub lunch in Kirkwall, pick up some supplies and get settled in. Later on, we all head out for a short walk.
This isn't the only owl we see, as there turns out to be a real-life short-eared owl hunting in the field in front of the cottage.
