Sunday 15 April 2012: Dipper

We drove up to Hartington in the Peak District today and walked Beresford and Wolfescote Dales. I hoped to get a landscape image for todays Blip, but lots of people out today because of the sunny weather and I struggled with the high contrast.

I spotted this Dipper which looked as though it had been 'fishing' and had stopped to preen itself and dry out a while. Not the best image you will see of a Dipper, but I have tried a few times unsuccesfully to photograph this elusive little bird.
