Monday 16 April 2012: The Bike Repair Shop

I was in a bike repair workshop today photographing the volunteers. I was really taken by all the parts of the bikes piled up in their correct spaces. It was like organised chaos. If you asked for something, they could find it.
When I was young I remember my grandfather talking about when he was in the cycle touring club. Some of the words he used like Sturmey Archer gears , crank shafs .
I loved all the detail in the workshop. The black and white always makes these places feel much more indiustrial.
