Monday 16 April 2012: Talpa the Jedi Knight
Talpa III called around today with the excellent news that he has recently graduated as a Jedi Knight. He was keen, of course to show off his newly acquired light sabre.
According to Obi-Wan Kenobi "The light sabre is the formal weapon of a Jedi Knight. Not as clumsy or random as a blaster. More skill than simple sight is required for its use. An elegant weapon, it is a symbol as well. Anyone can use a blaster or a fusioncutter-but to use a light sabre well was a mark of someone a cut above the ordinary." Apparently, the weapon consists of a blade of pure plasma emitted from the hilt and suspended in a force containment field. The field contains the immense heat of the plasma, protect the wielder, and allows the blade to keep its shape.
It's funny how the young lad has progressed from a devoted disciple of Postman Pat to fully fledged Jedi Knight in just a few short years!
