Monday 16 April 2012: April in Giverny
Busy times here and I'm afraid I am behind in my blips. I'm going to back-blip the last two days tonight. Between trying to finish off an article and enjoying my sister-in-law's visit, the days are full!
We spent the day in Giverny today. The garden is different every time we go (see April 4 and October 16) and never disappoints. Here is Th on a bench in front of Monet's house.
We saw the Maurice Denis show at the Musée des Impressionistes... I don't think any of us really loved it. I don't know Denis' work very well but the subject matter of the works in the show was all very similar and not all that appealing (young girls in white robes preparing for weddings). I didn't know he was so conservative.
