Tuesday 17 April 2012: Under the overbridge

A long day is nearly at an end. I've just realised I still have a couple of things to do before tomorrows tramp.

I saw a specialist hand physio this afternoon. I have a splint thingy for my wrist. Could be either a blessing or a curse tomorrow. She is handily located near to the Colombo St overbridge. Blip sorted but you wouldn't want to hang around here in the dark.

The first couple of hours of tomorrows tramp/climb is straight up and with a heavy pack and there will be some serious hauling and grunt work. The view at the top is worth it.

The weather forecast is fine but it will be cold on the tops and ridges. Tomorrow night will be even colder. I'll be in a hut not far from the head of a narrow valley with a hanging glacier. Kind of like the thought of that glacier hanging up there ;-)

I return late Thursday, then a half day at work Friday followed by another tramp in the weekend.

I will see you either in between tramps or early next week. Hopefully with a much improved wrist.
