Blueberry Hill, a campus landmark
Despite 20 years on campus and a loyal, active following - and a strong petition which got them a short reprieve, the thrill will soon be gone. A very sad, bad, and profoundly stupid and unpopular decision. More corporate franchises soon to come.
The Hill will be reborn off campus just a few blocks away but because YorkU is so huge, it is a 20-40 minute walk depending on your starting point. At least the new location is on the bus route and a busy road and in a corporate & light industry area. They should do fine.
I, for one, wish them well and will visit from time to time. One or two breakfasts and a lunch yet for me before they leave at month's end.
