Tuesday 17 April 2012: The Snail
While I was digging yesterday I found this empty snail shell. It is beautiful - why have I never noticed the amazing patterns and textures on the humble snail. When I washed the shell the colours really shone. I went around the garden and collected quite a few that the thrushes hadn't managed to smash and yet they were all empty - and equally exquisite.
I am going to have to get to like snails even though they eat my veg!
