Saturday 14 April 2012: Surprise!
Yesterday S,C, V, C & I met up at Feshiebridge where we've booked a cabin for S's surprise weekend. S was "kidnapped" from work yesterday & apparently hadn't a clue what we were up to, other than she was going somewhere!
The first surprise this morning was the overnight snowfall, so exciting that C had to rush out in her PJs to take photos ( I've resisted posting any of the photos I took of her).
After a walk in the snow (the rest of us waited long enough to get dressed at least) and breakfast, we headed down to Loch Insh for a walk. The weather went from sunny and clear to blizzard and back again several times in the time we were there.
The Osprey's have just returned and are sprucing up their nest & building up strength for the summer season. Lovely to see the pair hovering a & swooping over the loch.
This afternoon we visited the Strathspey Steam Railway for afternoon tea on the train, first class of course. It was fabulous!
More walking and some shopping, then back for champagne, dinner and game of Scottish Quest. A fun day with lots of giggling.
