Wednesday 18 April 2012: Reiteration

Nothing blip-worthy today so a desperation pic of my toy aeroplane that I've been fiddling with. In my quest to get it to go faster I've put yet another motor (number 4 or maybe 5) on it. This one is supposed to kick out 500w over 300w of the last one. I had to strengthen and stiffen the bulkhead for the mount as the motor was vibrating all over the place. Yes I know it isn't interesting to many many people - but it now produces more static thrust than the weight of the model so it should climb vertically with no help from the wings. And I find that prospect strangely fascinating.
