Wednesday 18 April 2012: Land for the people

I spoke this evening at a reception in the Parliament , sponsored by Mike Mackenzie MSP to mark the publication of a new book on Community Land Ownership in Scotland supported by the Carnegie UK Trust and published by the excellent and imaginative Islands Book Trust

The author is Professor Jim Hunter Emeritus Professor of History at the University of the Highlands and Islands , an Argyll man and a key figure in the highland land and economy debate in this generation.

It is always a pleasure to speak in support of and listen to Jim whose lecture this evening was fascinating and inspirational.
