Thursday 19 April 2012: Bye then...

783/365: ... and off she whisked and off I went to work.

The only day this week I've had to go into the office. And boy oh boy was it a jam-packed day! Meeting to meeting to teaching to meeting to meeting and then a rushed bit of writing to finish. In the office at 7:30... and managed time for lunch just about at the time I left for the day. Although it was busy, at least it was productive. I feel just a teensy bit spent now.

I think I'm probably still tired from yesterday's marathon travelling and working thing.

Shoe

I saw a shoe
Abandoned
On the side of the motorway
Footloose and fancy free
I thought
For a moment
But it wasn't
It was sad
Alone
Abandoned
I saw a shoe
Just one.

And that piece of nonsense wrote itself in my head on the way home

Update: Came up to bed and found a card on my pillow from Maddy with:

Roses ar Red Voilets ar blue honny is sweet and so ar you xxxxxxx

... on one side. And inside there's a picture of me and some 'honny' with a message that goes:

to Mummy From Maddy I saved up my piggy bank for ooo Love from Maddy

Awwwwwwwwww. Just love her. I'll save up my piggy bank for ooo too, sweetie.
