The Rules...

How do you take your bangers n' mash?

In my opinion, it has to be mash piled in the middle of the plate, sausages poke in the middle just off vertical and drowned in gravy. The gravy in this case is just bisto but augmented with some fried onion and garlic cooked in white wine.

Aside from the gravey augmentation, I call it the Beano method of bangers n' mash.

On a completely different subject, I heard on the wireless last night that Otis Redding finished recording Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay just days before his death. It kinda adds a bit of weight to it knowing it's basically his swan song. Turn all other sound sources off and give it a listen. One of the most finely crafted tunes I know.
