Nutty on the Inside.....

Not such an early start required but my body clock seemed to have other ideas! Funny how the routines you want to get into quickly like a new diet take a good few weeks of will power but others like waking up for work happens in a instant - well it seems to be the case for me lol

We headed off to do the food shop well wrapped as it was overcast and still quite chilly. I had plumped for a dress for the occasion nice to make the effort lol and was mightily pleased I'd managed to sneak a thermal top under it :o)
After a usual shop we headed off to the local "country park" an area of woodland nr Holyhead port. It was/still might be in danger of being bull dozed for holiday homes which would be a huge shame as it is so well used.
Saw all the usual birds including a Coot with at least 6 babies in & around the nest, I guess fresh hatched yesterday. Sadly the reeds protected them a tad too well from my camera :o(
We also saw a beautiful Robin who allowed myself and weirdfish to snap away whilst he proudly perched on a branch with a grm in his beak.

Weirdfish has used him as todays blip :o)

Once back home the dreaded unpacking took place then as the sun had come out we sat outside with a brew.
It was then we spotted my blip. She (looks female and yes MikeP because she is posing lol) was sat waiting to come down to the feeders. We've had Goldfinches in the field but never so close and after a couple of shots we left her to it in the hope it will encourage more visits :o)

So that basically was that the sun stayed out although it has again gone very chilly. I have presents to wrap for Saturday (which I'm crap at) and it will no doubt take the rest of the evening, so I'd best get gone.

Take Care folks x
