Skagit Valley is known for its tulip farms. We drove down Chuckanut Drive from Bellingham into the Skagit Valley. It was an overcast and chilly day so we ended up at the tulip farms. We stopped and looked for birds on the way but it was too windy and those we saw were not stopping to be photographed. So to the tulips though for Ian who lives in the Netherlands, well, they weren't on his wish list. But never mind. I wanted to see them. They are very late this year. So here they are. Tulips. On a cold and blustery day. Tonight we go to the final dinner for Ian's program and tomorrow he heads home. He's happy to be seeing his wife. But we all are a bit glum as this is his last time here. And he has become a member of the family over the nine years of his visits.
