Friday 20 April 2012: The river runs still
Shipyard cranes always remind me of baddies in a Dr Who series, they have a menacing look to them.
These ones belong to the Govan Shipyard on the Clyde and on the opposite bank are the recently built Glasgow Harbour flats - so a touch of the old and the new.
In the far distance you can just make out the cranes at the Scotstoun shipyard and a big hammerhead crane that was part of the old Barclay Curle yard in Whiteinch.
A very peaceful day on the river today - but not so peaceful when all these yards were in their heyday.
